Amy Vessa: PATH Int'l Instructor In Training
I have been riding most of my life starting with Western riding on trails with my family and at summer camps in my early childhood. I began riding at Coventry Farms in 1998 where I quickly fell in love with English riding and began riding year round. At Coventry, I was able to start working with many different horses through the school horse program; including Symphony, Jordan, Snoopy and Grace. I was able to build my strength and courage to to jump and show.
I left Coventry Farms in 2005 as I graduated high school. In my 7 years away I shared my knowledge of horses by helping with horse tacking, safety checks, and horse camps. I was always willing to lend a helping hand and teach someone something new or re-explain something again. During this same time, I completed my BFA in Theatre Design/Technology at the University of Arizona, an internship at CENTERSTAGE Theatre in Baltimore and 7 months with A Chorus Line Int’l Tour learning the theater trade while simultaneously teaching others.
I returned to Coventry Farms to find The Right Step, Inc about to enter its 4th year of operations. I began volunteering in December of 2011 and instantly fell in love with the program and wanting more. I started working on my PATH Int’l Certified Teaching process in June of 2012. I currently hold my Instructor in Training letter and am working everyday on getting closer to obtaining my full certification while helping the Program and Clients.
