Kathy Price is Board Chair at The Right Step Inc. Kathy joined the board in 2024 and became Treasurer in the Fall of 2024. She was selected as Board Chair in November of 2025. Kathy attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, and graduated with a degree in Business Economics. She moved to Denver in 1980. Kathy retired in 2022 from her 40+ year career in the Property and Casualty insurance business, serving as an Underwriting Director for Travelers Insurance and as a U.S. Coverholder/Underwriter for Lloyds of London. Her background and experience are an asset to The Right Step.

Natalie Lamy, JD - Secretary

Natalie Lamy began her journey with The Right Step as a volunteer in June 2024, quickly finding her passion for the organization’s mission. By January 2025, she joined the board, where she currently serves as the Board Secretary and Co-Volunteer Liaison. With over two decades of equestrian experience, both as a competitive rider, 4-H member, and as a horse owner, Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge in horse care, behavior, and the therapeutic potential of equine-assisted services. Originally from Illinois, Natalie received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Augustana College and relocated to Colorado in 2018 to pursue her J.D. at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Korra, and horseback riding.

Diane Evans - Communications Chair

Diane Evans is a second-generation Colorado native who grew up with horses on 40 acres in Fort Collins. She has volunteered with The Right Step since January 2020 and has served on the Board of Directors since January 2022. She is currently the Communications Chair. Diane has a degree in art education and postgraduate work from DU in marketing and communications. She has extensive corporate experience in graphic design, branding, and marketing, which has proven to be an asset to the ongoing growth and development of The Right Step.

Megan Smith, MS - Treasurer

A volunteer since 2024, Megan brings a lifelong love of horses—riding since age four and riding multiple disciplines through the United States Pony Clubs until the age of 18. In her free time, Megan still enjoys horseback riding, as well as trail running and reading. She also holds a M.S. in Statistics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and is passionate about evidence-based public health.

Dray Wharton is Principal of Wharton & Co., a Denver consultancy that helps organizations align corporate strategy with technology tools for measurable results. A former U.S. Air Force officer and experienced executive, he has founded and funded successful ventures, advised leaders across sectors, and now serves on several boards. He speaks frequently on productivity, organizational performance, and human development. He helped with The Right Step’s fundraising efforts in 2024 and joined the board as Development Chair in 2025.

Nancy Marsh is an experienced community contributor; most recently supporting fundraising, auction activities, and volunteer efforts at The Right Step. She served as a Trustees Chairperson and Education Chair at her church for many years in Northbrook, Il. Prior to that in Silicon Valley, she managed the creation of one of the earliest navigation databases used in in-vehicle and mobile navigation. In addition, she has a love of horses and has owned horses for the last 45 years. She wants to use that practical knowledge to help people in adaptive riding and horsemanship become stronger and healthier.
