Barn Events

Barn Events at TRS are hands-on experiences designed to bring people together in the welcoming environment of our barn. These events may include educational clinics, senior community outings, corporate volunteer days, birthday celebrations, or other special gatherings that connect people with horses and the work we do at TRS.

Activities are tailored to the interests of each group. Guests may spend time grooming horses, learning about equine behavior and care, exploring daily barn activities, observing adaptive riding lessons, or participating in team-building or educational experiences.

Whether you’re planning a team-building outing, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a unique way to spend time at the barn, Barn Events offer an opportunity to learn, connect, and experience the calming presence of horses while supporting the mission of TRS!

  • Yes. Barn Events can be designed to be inclusive, and our staff will modify activities to ensure comfort and accessibility for all participants. Much of the session can be done in shaded or indoor areas depending on weather and mobility considerations.

  • Absolutely. Every session is supported by trained volunteers and instructors who help guide interactions, ensure safety, and create a welcoming environment for all participants.

  • Most Barn Events focus on ground-based activities with the horses. In some cases, riding may be included depending on the event and the needs of the group. If riding is requested, it must be discussed and planned in advance to ensure appropriate staffing and safety.

  • Most Barn Events last between 1-3 hours, though the length can vary depending on the group and the activities planned.

  • Barn Events are scheduled in advance. Please contact TRS to discuss availability, group size, and the type of experience you are interested in planning.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required for all guests. We recommend comfortable clothing that can get a little dusty, as barn activities may include grooming or hands-on interaction with the horses.

  • Barn Events help support the mission of TRS by providing meaningful experiences while contributing to the care of our horses and the continuation of our adaptive horsemanship programs.
