Scholarships Opportunities
The Right Step is committed to providing the healing power of horses to all who would benefit. Our goal is to never turn away a client because of an inability to pay. As a non-profit organization, we are able to fulfill this goal through donations to our scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded based strictly on need.
Application for Scholarship
New Clients-Individuals interested in participating in a Right Step program may request and submit a Scholarship Application. Action is taken on the application only after the individual has had an evaluation session. The cost of the evaluation ride may be partially refunded if a scholarship is granted.
Current Clients- Current clients who have never received a scholarship award at The Right Step may request a Scholarship Application and submit it for consideration.
Current clients who have received a scholarship award at The Right Step are provided a scholarship application annually and are required to submit that application to continue to receive scholarship aid.

All information provided on the Scholarship Application is kept in strict confidence. In the course of reviewing applications, it might be necessary to request additional information; this is also confidential.
Scholarships are awarded in the form of credit toward the fees for scheduled services. The Right Step will notify clients in writing of awarded scholarships. There will also be a notation on clients’ invoices for the services scheduled. All clients will be expected to pay some amount toward the services; thus allowing more individuals to receive the benefits of our program.
